It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Joseph Dean Underwood, 55, who lost his battle with cancer on February 3, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.
Born and raised in Denham Springs, Dean was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and a cherished friend to many. He was known for his kind heart, quick wit, and unwavering devotion to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Michelle Underwood; mother, Joy Underwood, children; Brittany Underwood, Joshua Underwood, Sarah Underwood; his grandchildren, Colton Underwood, Blaire Wilson, and Rylie Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father Harold Underwood, grandmother Gertrude Underwood and mother in law Vivian Bonano. He was greeted with open arms and warm embraces as he entered the afterlife.
In his lifetime, Dean touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness and unwavering generosity. He will be remembered for his infectious laughter, love of cars, and passion for life.
Though his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, and all who were lucky enough to know him.
Rest in peace, Dean. Your memory will never fade.
Celebration of life will be February 24, 2024 at 12:00 PM and will be held at 33607 Clinton Allen Rd, Denham Springs LA, 70706. Anyone who knew Dean is welcome.

    When you were born, I fell in love with you. That love lasted and grew has you became a man. We have had our ups and downs though the years, not of our own doing, but it has never changed the love I have for you. I LOVE YOU NOW AND I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER !

    Dean was a amazing person and friend he will be dearly missed , shared many laughs together years ago we all shared a passion for cars . Droopy the vw bug always was my favorite , fly high my friend, John Henry
