William Marion Brinkley
September 24, 1946 ~ February 9, 2024
William “Bill” Brinkley, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 9, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1946. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris, his son, Jesse, and his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Buffy, his mother-in-law, Patsy, sisters-in-law, Lola and Lisa, nephews, Jason and William, nieces, Dawn, Angie, and Misty, and his beloved fur-grandbaby, Abby-Jo.
Bill enjoyed exploring history, hunting, fishing, venting politics, and ministering to others about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He made his living as a machinist and turned that career into one of teaching others the trade. He retired from teaching after having enriched the lives of countless students. He leaves a legacy of intelligence, patience, generosity, and love.
Those who knew Bill, understand that he would not want those he’s left behind to mourn. He’d want them to rejoice for he now resides with Jesus Christ and has been reunited with his wife and son. The lessons of his life are those of faith, love, and generosity. Ever quick to help others, he always kindly imparted that what he’s done is in service to and by the will and hand of Jesus.
A memorial service will be held in Bill’s honor at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Avenue, Denham Springs, LA 70726, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
In fondest memory of Bill, his family requests that others emulate him. In lieu of flowers—when you can, however you can—please help someone in need.
