George Dosher Honeycutt “Bud”, passed at the age of 83 on Monday, January 29th at his home after a battle with cancer. He was born in Harrisonburg, Louisiana on November 1st, 1940, to his parents Bueford and Mary Honeycutt. He worked as a diesel mechanic and has been a resident of Denham Springs, La for many years.

George is survived by his loving wife, Janice Honeycutt; sister Jane Martin; children Hollis and Tracy Honeycutt, George Jr. Honeycutt, Jakie Honeycutt, Judy and Gary Compton, O.V. Smith, Theresa Smith, Nancy Yates, Lori and Kenneth Ardoin, Shannon and Dwayne Price, LeaAnn Cockerham and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

George is preceded in death by his parents Beuford and Mary Honeycutt; siblings Margret Green, Adler Honeycutt, Roy Lee Honeycutt; children Jean Karris, Jeff Honeycutt, Darilyn Williams, Tammy Peavey, grandson Roy Dale Fisher.

He enjoyed reading, fishing and spending time outdoors. He never left is mechanic work, even after retirement – always tinkering with something. He had a heart larger than words and will be remembered by many.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, February 17th, at 10:00AM with a service at 11:00AM held at LeaAnn’s home, 10683 Armond Road, Denham Springs, Louisiana 70726.
