Rose Bergeron

Rose Marie Pearce Bergeron passed away peacefully at Ollie Steele Burden Manor in Baton Rouge Louisiana, on February 27, 2024. She was born on April 22, 1940, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Frances Myra Osgood and Edward Joseph Pearce. Rose graduated from Baton Rouge High School and received a BS and MS in Home Economics from Louisiana State University. Rose chose a career with LSU Cooperative Extension Service serving as a 4-H Agent, Home Economist, and Area Energy Specialist. In previous years, she was actively involved in many professional, community, service, and religious organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur J. Bergeron, Sr., stepson Arthur J. Bergeron, Jr., paternal and maternal grandparents.

She is survived by her brother William L. “Billy” Pearce (Linda), niece and nephew Gayle Carroll (Greg) and William E. “Will” Pearce and five great-nieces and nephew. She is also survived by stepson Allen Bergeron (Macayla), two step daughters Ginger Bergeron and Jeanne Bergeron Heckenkekmper, step daughter-in-law Mollie Bergeron, four step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, Louisiana on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 9:00-11:00 am with service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
