William “Bud” Dixon, Jr.
December 21, 1940 – March 1, 2024
William “Bud” Dixon Jr. went to his eternal home on Friday, March 1, 2024. Born December 21, 1940 in Natalbany, Louisiana to William Dixon Sr. and Sadie Dixon. Bud was definitely an outdoorsman. He was a painter by trade, and when he wasn’t working, you could find him on the river. He was a true river rat. So much so, that he made his home by the water on Grey’s Creek. Bud was a prankster from a young age, and kept his crazy sense of humor throughout his life. If Bud wasn’t spinning a crazy story, he was telling a joke. You never knew if the stories he told were completely true, because they seem so far fetched, some more than others. His stories will live on in the hearts and memories of those who shared in his life. Bud is survived by his daughter, Judy Dixon and partner Philip Barker, daughter Dolores Ballard and husband Richard, son Darrell Sicard and wife Debbie, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Heavens Door Cemetery located at 31599 Highway 441 in Holden, La.
