James Anthony Borskey “Bo”
James Anthony Borskey, “Bo”, passed away peacefully at his home in Walker, La. on Monday, March 4, 2024 at the age of 65 from complications of congestive heart disease. He was an adoring husband, loving father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle. A 1976 graduate of Istrouma High School, he was a former employee of The Advocate in Baton Rouge and retired from Shreveport Times. In his youth, he was an altar server for the parish of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church.
James loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and a die-hard LSU and Saints fan. If you were his friend, he would do anything for you. He enjoyed listening to music along with the many friends he made through music.
He gave the best hugs and never failed to tell his family that he loved them. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elaine Glover Borskey, the love of his life and soul mate. Throughout their marriage he was a wonderful provider and caretaker. He is also survived by their two children, stepson Michael David Charleville (Brooke), and daughter, Jessica Brickert. Paw-Paw to Cora Charleville, Holt Charleville, Victoria Brickert, and Lauren Brickert. Also survived by five siblings, Shurman G. Borskey (Phyllis), Kathy Ringe, Deanna Landry (Gary), Richard “Ricky” Borskey, Christi Palermo (Guy); sister-in-law, Bonnie Williams (Jim); brother-in-law, Michael Everson; special niece, Michelle Gentry; godchildren, Blaine Williams, Troy Ringe, Bryant Fossier, and Hannah Borskey; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Todd, Scotty, Richard, John, Freddie, as well as Tom Barrow; and, especially Micha Hood.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Shurman L. Borskey and Myrtle Munson Borskey; in-laws, Percy “Paw-Paw” Glover and Julia Toups “Ju Ju” Glover; sisters, Patricia Small, Isabelle “Belle” Gascon, and Tammy Seals; sister-in-law, Janelle Everson; nephews, Aaron Williams and Kohen Kleinpeter; and, nieces, Aliye Belle Ringe and Angelica Rene Borskey.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Services in Denham Springs on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 1-2:30 p.m., with service beginning at 2:30 p.m. Graveside service to follow at Davidson Cemetery, Killian, La. Pallbearers will be Holt Charleville, Blaine Williams, Michael Ringe, Troy Ringe, Ryan Kleinpeter, Corey Ringe, Jeremy Landry, and Jacob Borskey. Honorary pallbearer will be Bryant Fossier.
