Billy Marquette “Scooter” Boyd

Billy Marquette “Scooter” Boyd, Born October 18, 1951 in McComb, MS, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 28, 2024. Scooter retired from KCS Railroad. He was 72 and a resident of Denham Springs, LA and grew up in Baker, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy F and Carol Wells Boyd; brothers, Gregory W and Larry M Boyd; paternal grandparents, Alva and Elcile Boyd; maternal grandparents, Raiford and Doris Bass Wells.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rebecca “Becky” Hussey Boyd; two loving sons, Billy Ryan Boyd (Jill) and Brent M Boyd (Marina); and sister Dianne King. Also survived by grand children, Brayden, Bryce, McKenzie, Reese, Maddy, Benjamin, Dewey, Gracie, Riggins and Samantha; and great grand children, Braylen and Rowen Boyd.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Brayden Boyd, Bryce Boyd, Benjamin Boyd, Riggins Boyd, Dewey Vidrine, nephews, Jeremy Boyd, Greg Boyd, Mitch Boyd, Shannon Ford and 3rd son Jessie Harrell.

He was happiest when he had a house full of the people that he loved and surrounded by good food and fellowship. His greatest legacy was his kids, grandkids, great grandkids and the life he lived submitted to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He fought the good fight and finished his race well. He will be deeply missed and treasured by all who were honored to know him.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Wednesday, April 3, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Pleas share your condolences at .
