Jo Ann Harrison Harrell

Jo Ann Harrison Harrell, 93, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024 at her home in Baton Rouge, LA. Jo Ann was a native of Baton Rouge and attended LSU for a short time. She was a member of Cedarcrest Baptist Church and worked in retail before retirement. She enjoyed Sewing, crochet, and her daily puzzles from the morning paper. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Janell Amy Harrell Wilson and Jerri Angela Harrell Pruett; sons, James A Harrell, Jr, and John A Harrell; grandchildren, Aaron Harrell, Adam Harrell, Billy Sheesley, Carey Sheesley Graves, Stephanie Sheesley, Jordan Harrell, Cameron Harrell, Stacey Hastings Frosch, Tracy Hastings Meyers, Sophie Sumrall DuPree, Max Wilson, Katie Pruett Allen, and Troy Pruett; great-grandchildren, Zoey Harrell, Scarlett Harrell, Alexander Harrell, Anabelle Harrell, Brennen Harris, Lillian Sheesley, Maya Paige Harris, Audrey Graves, Jackson Graves, Benjamin Graves, Ian Sheesley, Selina Harrell, Adrian Harrell, Isabella Frosch, Jacob Frosch, Daylen Welch, Landon Ellis, Aidan Grout, Claire DuPree, Dakota Allen, Madelynn Allen.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James A Harrell, Sr.; mother, Mary Matylla Lovett Harrison; father, Horace Greely Harrison, brothers, Patrick Harrison, and Rolan E. (Buddy) LeJeune, Jr; and sons, Jeffrey A Harrell and Joel A Harrell.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. with burial following at Roselawn Cemetery, Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be Troy Pruett, Max Wilson, Billy Sheesley, Aaron Graves, Jarred Frosch, and Payton DuPree. Honorary pallbearer is Brennen Harris.
