Ricky Blaine Denova

Ricky Blaine Denova, 64, of Walker, LA, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024. He was an employee of Matt Bowers CDJR and dedicated over 15 years at Salsbury Dodge City. His greatest memories and favorite past times were with his dad, Sam, racing and riding dirt bikes. Of all, he enjoyed time with his family.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mimi Denova; daughters, Kelsey Denova, Kristie Thornhill, and Lacey Alexander; son, Derek Hendry; grandchildren, Addison Mattingly, Harli Mattingly, and Christopher “Bubby” Mattingly Jr.; sisters, Tonya Laiche and Sheila Denova; brothers, Sal Denova, Terry Denova, and Gregory Denova; nieces, Tisha Denova, Keile Denova, Kayla Denova, Shanna Denova, Jaida Denova, and Mandy Monica; nephews, Sal Denova, Sammy Denova, and Garrett Denova; mother-in-law, Nancy Turnipseed; as well as numerous friends, co-workers and other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Winnie Denova; uncle, Marion Denova; and father-in-law, Richard Turnipseed.

Ricky devoted 35 years of his life to the love of his life, Mimi. They enjoyed their adventurous life together. His friends and work family referred to him as a mentor and loyal friend…when he wasn’t talking smack. His daughter says, “he was deeply involved in every aspect of my life. His actions showed his love more than any words could ever express.”

There will be a graveside celebration of his life Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Richard Tsen at Our Lady of the Lake, in Walker.
