Sherri Obney Hasselbeck entered Heaven on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Her life began in Anchorage, Alaska, and later became a long-time resident of Denham Springs. She was dedicated and well-known for her work managing flooring departments for over 25 years. She was an active member of Don Avenue Baptist Church where she served on committees and sang in the choir. She was happily married and survived by her husband Tony Hasselbeck of 30 years.
She loved many things, such as reading, music, and dancing, and especially enjoyed soaking up the sun poolside. Most of all, she loved spending precious time with her loved ones and grandchildren. If they were involved in it, she was there as their #1 fan and supporter.
She is survived by her sisters, Brenda Obney and Jackie McClure, and brother, Jason Obney. Her children and their spouses are Justin and Chelsea Obney and Travis and Katie Hasselbeck. Her grandchildren are Bailee Hasselbeck, Riley Obney, Rowan Obney, and Hadley Hasselbeck. She had many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Margaret Obney.
Visitation will be held at Don Avenue Baptist Church, Denham Springs, on Tuesday, May 14, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., with burial following in Evergreen Memorial Park, Denham Springs.
In lieu of flowers, she would have preferred contributions to the church she loved so much, Don Avenue Baptist Church.

Such a lovely and caring soul. So gracious and considerate. I had the pleasure of sitting in her office and chit chatting with her. Such a dedicated mother. Thank you Ms. Sherry for your kindness.
