Rose Acosta Carpenter

Rose Acosta Carpenter, born on September 25, 1941 in Donaldsonville, Rose left us on May 18, 2024; her legacy, 82 years, filled with love and wonderful memories.

A mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Rose was the glue that held the family together. Everyone gathered at Rose’s house where big meals, loud conversation, family, good friends, and love abounded, and where a get together wasn’t complete without her phenomenal meals, her Mississippi Mud and Kenny C.

For Rose, family was everything and with her generous heart she melded 3 families into one, where her children and stepchildren were all loved and welcomed. Always a good friend, Rose now joins her Steel Magnolias: Cecilia Brown, Gay Nell Deale, and Jeanette Hughes.
