Dorothy “Dottie” Mae Silva Boes

Mrs. Dorothy “Dottie” Mae Silva Boes, 92, on March 16, 2024, was called to her heavenly home after a brief illness and complications from Guillain-Barré syndrome at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, Louisiana.

Dorothy Mae Silva was the daughter of Leo Charles Silva and Dora Valarie Bonamour. She was born on February 8, 1932, and lived the majority of her life in the New Orleans and Slidell, Louisiana, areas. She was married to Frank Thomas Boes, Sr., who predeceased her. They were blessed with three children that sadly, also all predeceased her. A loving daughter, Derrel “Derrell” Boes McKinney, her devoted son, Frank “Frankie” Thomas Boes, Jr., and her son, Stephen Wendell Boes. Mrs. Boes is survived by loving grandchildren and their spouses, great grandchildren, and many friends. Mrs. Boes is also survived by her black Shih Tzu dog “Baby,” a devoted and loyal companion of 13 years. Dorothy Mae Silva Boes, a beautiful soul missing from our lives, but never from our hearts.
