Gloria Yvonne Owens Baggett, age 86 born in Centreville, Mississippi and resided in Baker; passed away on June 12, 2024 at her daughter’s home in Watson. She was preceded in death by husband Robert Wylie Baggett, Sr., sons Terry Baggett, Sr. and Patrick Baggett, grandson Terry Baggett, Jr., great grandson Aceyn Baggett, parents David and Leota Owens, sister Mitzi Foreman, brothers Stanley Owens, Sr., David “Bunny” Owens, Jr., nephew Stan Owens, Jr., and son in law Jimmy Anderson. Survived by sister Janice Owens Stewart, sister-in-law Martha Baggett Owens, niece Cherry Owens Moon, and several other nieces and nephews. Daughter Beverly Sue Baggett and husband Hargie George, son Robert Baggett, Jr., and wife Pam, nine grandchildren Cristi, Kimberly, Brittany, Misty, Jeremy, Joey, Haleigh, Gabriel and Christine. Twenty-five great grandchildren, Kelsey, Brandon, Kelly, Layla, Kaya, Nova, Freya, Cooper, Luke, Cole, Grace, Bre’an, Jeremy Jr., Lucy, Loralei, Gabby, Bailey, Elijah, Libby, Isabella, Abigail, Gabriel, Camille, Kaitlyn and Destiny; two great-great grandchildren Kortlon and Kashton. Her pacemaker will be donated to LSU Veterinary teaching hospital. Special thanks to hospice nurse Sundi and caregiver Leona with Pinnacle Hospice. A memorial to spread her ashes with her husband will be announced at a later date at the old homesite in Centerville, MS. Anyone is welcome to attend.

    She was a quiet nice lady// Oh dear I remember her and it makes me sad but she is with family.. Bobby Craig is my son…He Pat and Barry were buddies

    I hope Mama was able to reunite with her beloved dogs , Girl , Peanut, and Dusty. Her pacemaker will help save a dogs life and hopefully donations to Second Chance will help save many more

    I hope Mama is with Girl dog, Peanut , and Dusty . She grieved when she lost her fur babies. Hopefully her pacemaker will help another family be able to keep their dog longer. I’m hoping Second Chance will receive donations in her honor and save many more dogs.
