Patty passed away early Tuesday morning, June 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, who she dedicated her life too!  She succumbed to her battle with Pancreatic Cancer at the age of 74 years old.

Patty was born on June 10, 1950 in Baton Rouge.  She graduated from Glen Oaks High School in 1968. She was a cheerleader and won queen in a school pageant. She graduated Nursing School.  Patty’s family was her life, and through the years she loved teaching Sunday school and children’s choir at church. She loved singing!

She loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles where she met the love of her life John Krodel in 2004.  They married on September 24, 2006.  They lived life to its fullest always traveling, taking cruises and camping with their friends.  They were very active in the Shriners International Organization and donated countless hours to furthering the fight for children’s orthopedics and burn needs.  Patty retired in 2018 from KPMG.  Her and John retired the same day. John served as Potentate of the Shrine and Patty proudly served as his First Lady of Hella Temple in 2020.  Patty was a clownette named “Sparkles” for the Daughters of the Nile.  She loved dressing up as a clown for the children.  She loved her fur babies too.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Krodel, son Billy Seale, wife, Jill; stepson Chris Krodel, wife Crystal; grandson Taylor Seale and Alexa; great grandchild Greyson Seale; step granddaughter Addy Holt, sister Linda McGowen and husband Don.  She was very close to her nephew Dennis Alsup and wife Angie, along with numerous other nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Warren and Virginia Smith Robertson, grandson Jordan Seale and father-in-law James Krodel.

Larry and I certainly know the difficulty the both of you have experienced these past 4 years. It is so hard to see your loved one succumb to an illness. It takes the life out of you just trying to be positive for them. Patty will be greatly missed. We have some wonderful memories to fall back on being with you both. Sorry we can’t travel anymore, but we will be thinking of you and the family.

We are all saddened to learn of the passing of this gentle soul and Child of God.

While we all may say this was much too early in life, as much as it saddens us we must accept it is part of God’s plan, and we are all grateful for our time on Earth together.

May God Bless this Family and Friends during their time of sorrow. We all pray together that as they gather to honor their memory and share fond recollections, that they also are able to rejoice, secure in the knowledge and belief that they will again be together for eternity.

God Bless the United States of America 🇺🇸.

    Johnny and family,
Our prayers remain constant as they have been since Patty’s beginning treatments. She fought a heroic battle with your and your family’s encouragement, as well as so many friends. She was so supportive of you, Johnny and your goals, wants, and desires. You two were and have been an excellent team in life. May you find calming peace and understanding as you review the fun times, those loving memories, and God’s plan for you to join hands and lives again in the future for eternity. Our love, sympathy, and prayers surround you and those she loved in life as you celebrate her in this very special way. God bless you my friend. We are with you in thought and prayer.
