David Jerry Weeks

David Jerry Weeks, age 89, passed away on June 24, 2024. He attended Mississippi State, was a member of the United States Army, and worked as an Engineer for the Railroad. David was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Vicksburg, MS and Walker Baptist Church in Walker, LA.

David is survived by his wife of 13 years, Laverne Matthews Weeks; daughters, Rachel and Janet; son, Ronnie; grandchildren, David, Kristen, Peter, Caleb, Ronnie Jr.; great grandchildren, Andrew, Emmy-Lou, Anniston; numerous nieces and nephews.

David is preceded in death by his first wife of 55 years, Joyce Harvey Weeks; son, David Jerry Weeks Jr., parents, William and Nan Weeks.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cathy, Paris, Kendra, and Jennifer for their loving care and everyone from Hospice of Baton Rouge.

Arrangements are pending and being handled by Riverwood Funeral Home in Brookhaven, MS.
