Dorothy “Carolyn” Bacile, age 80, a longtime resident of the Baton rouge area, passed away peacefully on June 26, with her family beside her. Carolyn had a fun-loving and generous spirit that uplifted family, friends and strangers alike.

Carolyn enjoyed doing charitable work and cultivating friendships as a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose lodge of Baton Rouge and later Slidell, where she served as Senior Regent.

Carolyn loved crafting, sewing and quilting and held leadership positions in the Giving Quilt and Stashbuilders Quilting Guilds. Carolyn also had years of fun riding in local Mardi Gras parades with her friends in the Nemesis Riders Krewe.

Carolyn is survived by her two sons Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bacile and Mr. and Mrs Nick Bacile, her grandchildren; Haley(Justin), Hannah (Rocky), Corrie and Callie, Nicole(Brennan), Kayleigh, Kelsey, John, Layla, and Shane. Great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Ben, Nick, Hudson, Addie, Everett, Braelyn, Brynleigh, Annabelle and Camilla. Sisters; Dianne Wade and Jean Kinchen(Gene), nieces; Madelyn Rawls, Tracy Langston(Keith), Amy Winters(Josh), nephews; Dan Cohn, Matthew Cohn, Joey Kinchen(Jeanne), Jason(Nicole), John Wade(Tammy) and Charles Cohn(Wendy).

She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Dorothy Navarre, sister, Lois Cohn Lavalley, and brother-in-law Wayne Wade.

Pallbearers will be John Wade, Joey Kinchen, Jason Kinchen , Rocky Prattini, Josh Winters, Ben Bacile, and John Courtney

Visitation will take place at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on July 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM with funeral mass starting at 12:00 PM and burial to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
