Joe was born prematurely at seven months, but was so anxious to enter this world that he actually tried making his debut at six months. We held him off by spending a month in the maternal intensive care unit at Woman’s Hospital. I’ve been trying to hold him back ever since!
Joe had such a zest for life and everything he did was full throttle. Joe loved with such intensity and wasn’t afraid to let those he loved know it. Joe never met a stranger because he had the ability to make everyone he met fall in love with him. He also had a way of driving us crazy like only Joe could do, but would immediately make you laugh with his beautiful smile and charm. Everyone that knew him has “a Joe story”! Joe loved his job at Optimize doing electrical work installing generators and had so much pride in his work.
Joe’s greatest treasure that brought him the most pride was his precious son Liam. His love for Kara and Liam was his driving force in all he did. Joe left this world too soon and will be dearly and forever missed by all of us that love him!
He is survived by his mother Tonja Blanchard, son Liam Michael Dodds (mother Kara Beck), brothers TJ Wilkinson (Haley), Colton Wilkinson, and Adam Wilkinson (Janessa), nieces Kylah Wilkinson, nephews Tolor Wilkinson and Wolfe Wilkinson, and grandfather Bill Kahrs.
He is preceded in death by grandmother Anne Kahrs.
There will be a visitation at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, Louisiana on Monday, July 8, 2024 from 11am to 3pm with a memorial service starting at 3pm.
