Vickie Lynn Sullivan

Vickie Lynn Voorhies Sullivan, 55, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends. Vickie was born September 9, 1968, to her father, Bonnie Lee Voorhies (deceased) and mother, Elaine Dupuy Webster in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Vickie married the love of her life, Buck Sullivan, thirty-six years ago and had two children, Drake and Lucas. Vickie loved making memories with her boys and her “sweet girl”, Finley. She cherished going on family trips to camp, fish, hunt, tan on the beach, and relax in the Smoky Mountains. She had many talents including painting, sewing, and cooking. You could always find her outside and barefoot, enjoying the sun or on the phone with her lifelong friend Pam Falcon. She loved people, especially children, and was always the life of the party wherever she went. Although her favorite job was being a homemaker, she wore many hats including hairdresser, seamstress, wedding decorator, dress maker, and pre-school teacher. Vickie proudly carried the titles of loving wife, Mama, and Mammie. She is survived by her loving husband, Buck Sullivan; her sons, Drake Sullivan and Lucas Sullivan (Joey); her grandchild, Finley Sullivan; her mother, Elaine Webster; her sister, Angie Voorhies Durr (Kevin); her father and mother-in-law, Pat and Ginger Sullivan; her sister-in law, Fran Bellington (Jeff); her nephews, Damon Rand, Logan Durr, and Nathaniel Durr; and her nieces, Nicolette Littlejohn, Kaci Kirby, and Jacqueline Durr. A Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, officiated by Johnny Morgan.  Graveside services will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery located in Pine Grove, LA. Vickie will be forever cherished and deeply missed by her loving family, dear friends, and the countless lives she touched, leaving a lasting mark on their hearts. Pallbearers, honored to serve, will be nephews and friends.
