August 31, 1949 ~ July 4, 2024
Mynan Williams Guidry, 74, was born August 31, 1949. A resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 4, 2024, peacefully at her son’s home, surrounded by family.
She was a retired school teacher, an avid quilter, a seasoned traveler, and she loved her family fiercely. She had a servant’s heart and a sharp wit. Mynan was a mom to everyone, the best friend you could ever have, and a proud Nannie to all her grandchildren. She was so loved and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Guidry (Jessica); chosen daughter, Dannielle D’Arcy (Christopher); step-son, Chad Guidry; Guidry grandchildren- Joe, Noah, Piper, & Caleb; chosen grandchildren- Christopher Jr., Chase, & Caroline D’Arcy; sister, Linda Fowler (Richard); nephew, Mark Busbia (Jane); and nieces: Kierstan Greif (Michael), and Leah Langston (Joe).
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Berlin Joseph “Jay” Guidry; mother, Lera Williams; father, James Williams; and brother, Lane Williams.
Words cannot express how grateful we are for the kind and loving care given by Bridgeway Hospice, friends, and family in her final days. Thank you!
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church Denham Springs on Saturday, July 20th, from Noon-2pm, with a service to follow at 2pm.
