Louis Edward “Eddie” Sylvester Jr., 74, Baton Rouge, LA retired from utility industry, died Saturday, July 13, 2024, at The Guest House of complications from transverse myelitis.

Eddie was born August 29, 1949, White Castle, LA, first child of Louis Edward Sylvester, Sr. and Mary Caneno Sylvester. He resided in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Eddie was a 1967 graduate of Redemptorist High School and served in the US Navy, with a tour of duty in Viet Nam.

Eddie was married to the late Anna Haynes Sylvester and the late Kay Lloyd Sylvester. His children are Louis Edward “Eddie” Sylvester, III, Timothy James Sylvester and Tonya Michelle Sylvester, and grandchild Meagan McDaniel.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Edward “Eddie” Sylvester, Sr., Hillside, NJ and Mary Caneno Sylvester, White Castle, LA, sister, Katherine Mary Sylvester, brother, Victor Joseph Sylvester, brother-in-law, William Michael Cramer and nephew, James Leslie Cramer.

Eddie is succeeded by sister, Anne Sylvester Cramer, brother, Thomas Charles Sylvester (Marie), brother, Sam Anthony Sylvester, and numerous cousins.
