Nathan Lee Corkern

Nathan Lee Corkern, 76, of Watson, Louisiana, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, peacefully at his home. He was born through the marital union of Lydia and Eston Corkern, Sr. on May 27, 1948.

Nathan was a long time retired Public Works Supervisor with the Town of Livingston. He not only served the community, but the country as well, he was a US Army veteran, who served in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart.

Nathan is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 53 years, Vickie Graham Corkern, daughters Christy Corkern, Carmen Budenich, and Kyleigh Spooner (great granddaughter); and grandchildren Shayna Spooner, Kayla and Marcus Sparks, Bree Budenich, Nate Antczak, Raylee Budenich, Raylyn Stenger, and Jaxon Roberts; and great grandchildren Alice Kulcke, Elijah Kulcke, Josiah Sparks, and Asher Sparks as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Silas and Elaine Corkern.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lydia and Eston Corkern, Sr., brothers Eston Corkern, Jr., Johnny Corkern, and sister Rosie Corkern.

The family would like to express a special thanks to St Joseph’s Hospice for their care and service as well as the ongoing support given by his brother and sister- in- law Silas and Elaine Corkern; friends Mary and Gerald Hughes, Joyce Gutbier and David Albin.
