Janice Shelton Howell

Janice Shelton Howell passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024 at the age of 64 while surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with ALS. She was a resident of Denham Springs, LA living her last days on her family owned property where she has shared many memories with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father John Richard “Sonny” Shelton; two brother’s, Billy Shelton and Christian Shelton

She is Survived by two sons Murray Howell and fiancé Anna Flood and Son Carey Howell; her Mother Amy Shelton; two brothers Spike Shelton and wife Wendy; brother Kemp Shelton; three sisters, Paula Chisholm, Dianna Shelton and Lisa Tucker and husband Roy; four grandsons; one great granddaughter; The Love of her life, Charlie Howell

Janice never met a stranger. She would befriend everyone. She was an avid racecar and LSU fan. She enjoyed sharing with her social media friends and family.

In her final years while battling ALS, she demonstrated her courage and strength in the face of adversity. She triumphed over that adversity by teaching us all how to overcome the greatest challenges of life with dignity and grace. Her kind and gentle soul will be dearly missed by many. Blessed and privileged are all who knew her and were touched by the face of an angel in her presence.

Visitation will be held at Community Chapel Church in Walker on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm with service to begin at 1:00pm

Service will be officiated by Pastor Trevor Dunlap.

In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests donations in her name to ALS Association or Community Chapel Walker, LA.
