Carole Haydel Falgout, a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana who was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep in her home Saturday July 27, 2024, surrounded by family with love and laughter at the age of 90 years old. She was born on April 14, 1934, in LaPlace, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Kenner High School in Kenner, Louisiana on May 27, 1952. She was a long-term employee of Livingston Bank in Denham Springs, LA. She was Vice President and worked there for roughly 32 years. She was a long-time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Carole is preceded in death by her loving Husband of 67 years George Alexander Falgout, her (oldest) son Mark G. Falgout and her daughter Karen F. Merritt; her older sister Ouida Callegan and older brother Joseph Clement “JC” Haydel Jr.; and her parents Anna and Joseph Clement Haydel Sr.

She is survived by her son in law Robert Merritt, granddaughter Rachel Merritt Adams and Husband John, granddaughter Hannah Merritt Sheridan and husband Avery, great-grandsons Rowan Merritt, William and Ryder Sheridan; Daughter in law Amy Falgout, step grandson Craig Duval and Krysten Comeaux and step great-grandchildren Cypress and Kosta Duval; step grandson Tyler Duval and fiancé Andrea Romero and step great-grandchildren Kylon, Sophia and Blaydon Duval; Older brother Gerald M. Haydel and wife Aggie, younger sister Connie H. Nelson and husband Leo, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

All are welcomed to attend the funeral services held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 865 Hatchel Lane in Denham Springs, LA 70726. The visitation will begin at 10 am to 11:30 am Thursday August 1, 2024. Mass will begin promptly at 11:30 am after visitation. Christian burial will follow after mass at Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum at 1710 South Range Ave., Denham Springs, LA 70726 behind Seale Funeral Home.

    I’m sorry to hear of Carole’s passing. I worked with her for years at Livingston Bank, where she was a force to be reckoned with! I admired her accomplishments in a time when it was somewhat rare for women to excel to the degree she did. Years later we would encounter each other in church from time to time. She always made a point to speak to me.

    Rachel and Hannah and Robert and family . We are so sorry for your loss our Prayers and hugs goes out to yall . Nannie was such a sweet and precious person you could meet. I know her family and friends will miss her dearly. May you Rest in Peace.

    Dear Rachel and Hannah, my deepest condolences and prayers . Aunt Carole was the sweetest ,kind , soft spoken woman whom I loved very much. I ‘m said to say due to my health ,I won’t be able to attend the service. I will be thinking of y’all and praying . Love to all .
