Shirley Jean (Stanley) Nopper

Shirley Jean (Stanley) Nopper, 76, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana departed this world in the early morning hours of September 3, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, and first husband. She leaves behind her only son, Christopher, her daughter-in-law Danyale, and three grandpets.

Born in Redlands, California, she received her degree in Jewelry and Goldsmithing with a specialty in electroplating in 1969 from the University of Southern California at Long Beach. After moving to western Massachusetts, she owned and operated a dental laboratory. She also sold her unique artwork made from Styrofoam. In 2017 she moved to Baton Rouge, LA to be with her son and daughter-in-law.

She led a busy, energy-filled life, and standing still was her greatest fear. She enjoyed family and friends above all. She spent her time working with the community in Massachusetts, caring for the elderly and helping organize and run a food bank for the needy. Her hobbies included gardening, completing puzzles, remodeling homes, art, keeping up with soap operas she’d watched from day one, and caring for her grandpets.

She will be missed more than words can say.
