Wallace M. Day, Native of Baton Rouge, resident of Denham Springs, LA was called home on September 10, 2024 at the age of 73. Wallace was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.

Wallace graduated from Istrouma High School in 1969. He married his high school sweetheart, Pamela L. Day, shortly after graduation and they spent 55 wonderful years together. Wallace dedicated 30 years of his life to working as a lineman at Gulf States Utilities/ Entergy. 

Wallace had a passion for rebuilding cars, especially Broncos, and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.  He was known for his entertaining stories, good cooking, and playing Santa Claus for family and friends. Wallace shared his love for cooking at Days Smokehouse and enjoyed watching old westerns, NASCAR, football and baseball on TV. 

Wallace is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Day; children, Kendall (Monica) Day, Kevin (Lori) Day, Kelton (Debbie) Day, Kristi (Tony) Minton; Grandchildren, Brandon (Alyssa)Day, Caleb (Ella Claire) Day, Kade Day, Mckenzie Gosnell, Daisy and Maycee Day, Burkley and Waylon Minton; Great Grandchildren, Mason and Evangeline Day, Colson Day; Sister, Ann (Mike) Higgins. Preceded in death by his parents Elbert Ward and Elma Day; Brothers, Ottis G. Day and Lewis M. Day.

Wallace will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in Peace. 

Visitation will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM with services beginning at 5:00 PM conducted by Pastor Stephen Hebert. The family request you make memorial donations to the ALS Association, 1950 Craig Road, Suite 200, St. Louis, Missouri 63146. Please sign our online registry book..

    So very sorry to hear of Wallaces’ passing. My heart sank as I read his obituary, because my husband,
    Billy, was diagnosed with ALS April 23. Please, please when you have the time, please call, text or

    So sorry to hear of Pee-paws passing. He was a gREAT man! I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. I learned a lot from him & loved the stories he told. Sending many prayers to the family.
