John Louis Taylor
John passed away at his home at the age of 90, surrounded by his family, and he will be profoundly missed.
Though a longtime resident of Louisiana, John grew up on a farm in Tennessee and remained a farm boy at heart throughout his life, always maintaining a deep connection with nature. He served his country in the Korean war and went on to earn a teaching degree before pursuing a career in sales. John could always be found working in his yard for hours on end.
Though he was not often vocal about the sentimental aspects of life, he showed his love in quiet, meaningful ways; If you needed something, he was there to help and generous with his time. John was truly the strongest and hardest working person his family has ever known.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Thelma and Joe Louis Taylor; brothers, Edward and Hubie Taylor; in-laws Estelle and Walden Norwood, Judie and Barlow Gilbert, Glen Frye, Neva Taylor; many aunts, uncles, cousins, treasured family members; and several beloved pets.
