Jack Cockerham passed away on Saturday morning, October 12, 2024, at Baton Rouge General Hospital – Bluebonnet. A native of Fernwood, Mississippi, he moved to Livingston after marrying his wife of 53 years, Linda. He was a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education.  He was a long-time member of French Settlement First Baptist Church and Hurd Merrill Masonic Lodge No. 454, F&AM. He retired in 2006 from DEMCO with over 30 years of service. He is survived by his daughter, Alissa R. Cockerham and sister, Mary Roberts. He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Cockerham, parents, Lucien Quinn and Annie Mae Cockerham, and brothers, James and David Cockerham. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home in Livingston on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 4:00 – 9:00 pm with Masonic rites performed at 7:00 pm. Graveside service will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church French Settlement cemetery.
