Cornelia Brignac Shilling

Cornelia Brignac Shilling passed on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born in Denham Springs, Louisiana on February 10, 1939 to her parents Charles and Eola Brignac. Cornelia worked for the Department of Revenue and eventually retired from her position after 25 years of service. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and enjoyed spending her time in ladies archery, bowling, and playing cards with her friends.

She is survived by daughter Renee Shilling Jones (Rodney B. Jones), son John W. “Billy” Shilling (Tammy J. Shilling), grandchildren Tasha N. Rowe (Andrew), Paden Shilling (Keristan), Brittany Marcotte (Brad), Ethan Jones (Charles), Will Shilling, Baleigh Wiggins (Aubrey), Jodi McDonald, Jami Hill, and Josh Cavin, great-grandchildren , Leah, Hunter, Jude, Reid, Caden, Cole, Ryleigh, River, Josh, Cavin, Kayleigh, Madyson, Taylor, and Preslee. She is also survived by her sister Tammie Watson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband J.L. Shilling, sisters Bessie Seal and Evelyn Graves, brother Charles Brignac, and parents Charles and Eola Brignac.

There will be a visitation held at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Walker (9768 Florida Blvd, Walker, LA 70785) on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 10am to 12pm with a memorial service starting at 12pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to New Beginnings Church.
