Terrell “Terry” R. Browning

Terrell “Terry” Rodney Browning, 80, passed away on November 3, 2024, in Greenwell Springs, LA. Born on April 14, 1944, Terry dedicated much of his life to his family and his faith. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Gilpin Browning; children, The Rev. Lynn Hooks (Michael), John Thomas Browning II, and Amy Browning Pruyn (Kurt); grandchildren, Ryan Hooks (Steph Rubin), Rachel Hooks Richardson (Luke), Raphe Hooks, J.T. Browning III, Julia Browning (Jacob Taylor), Justin Browning, Jared Browning, Kade Pruyn, Jolie Pruyn, Kamy Pruyn, and Jack Pruyn; and a great-grandchild, Eden Browning. A sister, Kathleen Robillard. He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Ellen Browning; in-laws, Raymond and Delois Gilpin; and granddaughter, Jadie Pruyn.

Terry was a graduate of Central High School and served honorably in the Army. Professionally, he was a respected electrician out of Local 995 and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Time outside of his profession was spent in his garden.

Terry’s life was a testament to his deep faith and love for Christ, which he demonstrated through his unwavering love and care for his family and friends. His presence brought warmth and kindness to all who had the honor of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and will continue Saturday, November 9, from 9:00 AM until the service at 10:00 AM at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ryan Hooks, J.T. Browning, Kade Pruyn, Raphe Hooks, Justin Browning, Jared Browning, and Jack Pruyn. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Carroll and Gene Gilpin.
