Dear Lupe, children and grandchildren,
It is very difficult for me to believe that our sweet, precious Gerrideenie (my special nickname for her) is gone from this earth.
Gerry was indeed a very special person. She loved you unconditionally, never judging you, just opening her heart to all who came in contact with her.
Gerry was open and honest with you and supported you in all your decisions even if she did not agree with you.
We worked together in Baton Rouge and we did volunteer work together for several years. We laughed and we cried together as friends. My memories of Gerry will always be with joy because she was full of the joy of the Lord. No one could ever have a better friend than Gerry Andrde. She was the best.
She lived her life with love and understanding for family and friends, but most of all, serving and loving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
A forever friend in Jesus,
LaVerne Higdon

Mom I already miss you so much. This picture captures everything about your personality. I miss you, but knowing that you are with Jesus brings me comfort.
