Sheila Riley Deese

Sheila Riley Deese passed away early Monday, November 4, 2024 at the age of 70. She was born in Memphis, TN on October 18, 1954.

She is survived by her daughters Shantell Mora, Maria Booker (Luke), and Melisa Deese; sons Aaron Mora (Jennifer),and Joshua Deese; grandchildren John Tobon, Devon Guidry, Autum St. Angelo, Jaron Mora, Jacqueline Mora, Jerney Harms, Seryn Booker, Andrew Mora, Analia Booker, Aubree Mora, Easton Mora, Alexis Deese, Justin Himes, Preston Deese, and Amelia Deese; great-grandchildren Isabella Profit, John Tobon Jr, Braylee Guidry, Asher St. Angelo, and Merak Tobon; sisters Margy Hart and brothers Perry Riley, and George Fortner; nieces Angela Fletcher, and Samantha Riley; and nephew: Sammy Riley Jr. and other special family and friends: Danya Adkins, Sergio Mora, Steve Griggs, and Becky Fletcher.

Sheila was preceded in death by her father Eugene Riley, mother Mary Waver, stepfather Truitt, and stepmother Reba Riley; she was also preceded in death by her siblings Sam Riley, Gene Riley Jr, Bobby Dale Fortner, Dennis Rust, Michael Riley, Milton (Rusty) Rust, and Birtye Bryant, and her nephew Harley Fletcher (Riley).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Anne Clouatre and Steve Griggs for always being there when we need you! Extra special Thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus for giving your life so that our mom could experience eternity in peace and love with God, our Father. Sheila Riley Deese ran into the protective embrace of God with a smile and will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial services to be held at Bethany Church at 13855 Plank Rd in Baton Rouge, LA 70714 at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 15th, 2024. Reception to follow at same location.
