James H. McMorris, Sr. passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024 at the age of 85. James was born in Madisonville, LA on November 22, 1939 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired as a welder for Local Union 198 with over 37 years of service. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Sunday, December 29, 2024 beginning at 11:00am. A Masonic service will be held at 12:30pm and the funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00pm. He is survived by his wife Jeannie McMorris; children James H. McMorris, Jr. and Brenda McMorris, David Quave and Crystal Quave, Dean Quave and Christa McMorris; grandchildren Brandon Quave and  Allie Quave, Blake Quave, Kayleigh Quave, Jennifer and Stephen Kerry, Brandi and Chris Hawkins, Jamie and Brooke McMorris, Melanie and Bobby LeBoeuf, Austin LeBoeuf, Brandon LeBoeuf, and Michael Michelli; great-grandchildren, Braxton Kerry, JoJo Hawkins, Carter Hawkins, Cason Quave, Khali Miller, Hayden Michelli, Grayson Michelli, and Cameron Langlois. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Margaret McMorris and children Randy Quave and Kristy Quave.

    Even though we didn’t see each other near enough as we should especially these last few years and i am sorry for that loss, but just know that we had so many great, and good memories that will last forever in my heart, ,and those are the memories of my hard working, full of jokes paw paw, who loved his milk shakes, coca cola in his mason jar glass, and going crabbing . Those are the memories of such a wonderful man, paw paw,I want to remember forever. We love all of you and you are all in our thoughts and prayers forever. 🙏

    He is a Loving Father that is going to be joining our brother Randy Quave in heaven . Daddy will be Greatly missed by myself( Lil Jim) and my surviving brother’s David Quave; Dean Quave; and our sister Christa Mcmorris. AS well as all of his Daughter-in-law’s/Grandson’s /Granddaughter’s/Great Grandchildren / Niece’s & Nephew’s etc. Most of all the woman of his life, companion & Best friend Our Mom
