Florence Norma Scivicque Crowder

Florence Norma Scivicque Crowder, 88, went to be with her Lord on December 24, 2024. Florence was born in Head of Island, LA on November 8, 1936. She graduated from Denham Springs High School in 1954 and later graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Florence pursued her career as an Educator with the Livingston Parish School System and later, along with her husband Charles, owned and operated Crowder Greenhouses in Denham Springs and later opened Crowder Antiques in Denham Springs. She was a very active member of the International, America, and Baton Rouge Camellia Societies and served as Vice President, America of the International Camellia Society. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Denham Springs. She served on various civic organizations throughout her life receiving numerous awards for her service. Florence Scivicque Crowder is survived by children, Jimmy Crowder and Angela Crowder; grandchildren, Beth Ann Hosse and husband Trebor, Landon Crowder and wife Renee, and Rachel Hosse and husband Alex; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Hosse and Audrey Hosse; three sisters, Joan Sibley, Janice Roach and husband Jim, and Jama Scivicque; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Crowder; son, John Michael Crowder; her mother, Ethel Michael Scivicque and father James Louis Scivicque; and daughter-in-law Debbie Hood Crowder. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 4 pm until 7 pm, and will resume on Monday, at 9 am until time of service at 11 am. Interment will follow at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
