On January 2, 2025, Steven Hewitt Smith went to be with hisLord Jesus in eternal life. Steven lived his life as a faithful servant and follower of Christ. Steven was born to Alfred and Ruby Smith, on September 18, 1967, in Kansas City, MO. After moving to Baton Rouge, Steven attended The Runnels School and Tara High School. While at Louisiana State University, he studied construction management and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. For the last few years, Steven enjoyed his role as Hotel Maintenance Manager at Quality Suites in Baton Rouge.
Steven is survived by his former wife Nancy Smith, a son, Andrew Smith, Daniel Myers and Emily Myers, a brother, Scott Smith, and his wife Kristi. Steven was loved by extended family, including Jason Smith, Matthew Smith and wife Emilee, Cash Smith, Jack Smith, Mallory Richard, Alaina Richard-Brooker, Madeleine Richard, MD, Cade Sanchez, Chad Sanchez, Adelaide Richard, Gus Richard, Ryan Richard, Jr, Leighton Richard.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred E. and Ruby H. Smith and former wife Kirsten Smith

Services will be held on Sunday, January 5, at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 South Range Avenue, Denham Springs 70726. Visitation hours are from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a celebration of life service at 3:00 PM. The service will be officiated by Pastor Stephen Hebert. Burial at Evergreen Memorial Park to follow.
