On December 20, 2024, Janet McMorris Stewart peacefully passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Claude and Nora Nell McMorris on March 26, 1955. They were natives of Louisiana, and resided in Denham Springs. She was an avid seamstress and made it her career during her lifetime. Janet’s greatest joy was her family. She was married to her husband, Fred Delton Stewart, Sr., for 52 years. During this time together they had 2 children, and 6 grandchildren. She was deeply loved, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her two sisters Oliphant and Anita Morris.
Janet is survived by her husband Fred Delton Strewart Sr.; son Del “Duke” Stewart (Tonya Stewart); daughter Heather Prinz (E.J. Prinz); grandchildren Devon, Dylan, and Keyona Prinz, and Ethan Landon, and Dayton Stewart; as well as her sister Vonda Stafford.
A graveside service will take place at Blount Cemetery on Friday, January 3, 2024 at 11:30am.
