Harold James (Jimmy) Callahan, resident of Zachary, Louisiana passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 78. He left this world with great dignity, after a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to those he cherished. He was born July 31, 1946, in New York, and was a graduate of Istrouma High School. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He had a passion for woodworking and spent many hours in his workshop creating handcrafted pieces that will be cherished by his family and friends. Jimmy loved spending time outdoors, especially when it came to hunting and fishing. Above all, Jimmy cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his family was at the heart of everything he did.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Kimberley Callahan Crawford & Derek Armstrong; his grandchildren, Kahle Crawford, Madison Crowell & husband Jeremy Crowell, Morgan Simpson & Jayce Cotten, Megan White & husband Dustin White, and Hope Forbus & husband Jordan Forbus; and his great grand-child, Waylon White. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Crawford Scanlan and Charles Robert Callahan.
A celebration of life will be held for his family at a later date, to be determined.
