It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend, Sondra Kay Pearce Johnson. Sondra was born on September 26 to Janet Kay Borne Pearce and Samuel Paul Pearce. Sondra spent her life dedicated to her family, her community, and the people that she loved, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a devoted wife and mother, with an unwavering love for her husband and daughter that filled her heart and shaped her world. Sondra had a deep love for watching and attending SLU football games, enjoyed old westerns with Danny, and above all, cherished her time at Doyle Elementary. It was more than just a school for her —it was like a second family. She adored every single one of the children, parents, teachers, and staff and they all held a special place in her heart.

Sondra is survived by her loving husband, Danny Grant Johnson, daughter, Spenser Kay Johnson, her brother, Brett Paul Pearce and his wife, Julia Meraux Pearce, her uncle Philip Earl Pearce and his wife Deborah Duhe Pearce, her aunts Essie Jones Kinchen and her husband, Jerry Kinchen, and JoAnne Borne Bowers. Her nephews Jeff Pearce (Rachel), Tim Pearce (Abbie), and Philip Pearce, her great-nephews Jack Pearce, Finn Pearce, and Teddy Pearce, her great-nieces Rosie Pearce and Frances Pearce. She is also survived by many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mom, Janet Pearce, her dad Samuel Pearce, her paternal grandparents Paul Elsworth and Troy Azlian Pearce, her maternal grandparents Fred Joseph and Dorothy Acosta Borne, her aunt Joyce Harper, her uncle Fred Borne and her cousin Laura Beth Harper. Pallbearers will be Jeff Pearce, Tim Pearce, Philip Pearce, Brent Ouber Sr., Ken Easley, Willis Jones Jr., and Honorary Pallbearers being Ronald Kimble and Jerry Kinchen.

Pastor Eddie Koch from First Baptist Church in Albany will officiate the service and graveside.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at Seale Funeral Home in Livingston on Saturday, February 1, 2025 with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Services at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Gateway Gardens Cemetery in Livingston, Louisiana.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her love, kindness, and unforgettable spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. In lieu of traditional black attire, the family kindly requests that guests wear colorful, casual clothing to celebrate Sondra’s vibrant life and spirit.
