Tayna Frances “Fran” Strain Galloway

Tayna Frances “Fran” Strain Galloway completed her final earthly “assignment” on February 13, 2025. Flowing out of the love she experienced knowing Jesus Christ, Fran is known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, sister, and aunt. Her servant heart guided children in and out of classrooms, in summer Vacation Bible school, and extension Sunday sessions. Her love for education blossomed when she finished her college degree at the age of 18 and retired from the Livingston Parish Public Schools after 34 years of service. Fran was an avid reader, liked to exercise, and was beyond happy to spend a day fishing. She will be deeply and wholly missed by the many people who had the privilege and joy of knowing and loving her.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years Chris Galloway, daughter Britney Graham (Jonathan), son Jarrod Galloway (Jessica), grandchildren Presley and Logan, sister Ila Rebecca Strain Williamson (Milton), twin brother Richard Wade Strain (Donna), numerous nieces and nephews, father-in-law Flavious W. Galloway, sister-in-law Rae Fooshee, and very best friends Lynn Rose Palmer Sibley and Linda Carter Burleigh.
She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Lynn Strain, mother-in-law Connie Q. Galloway, and brother-in-law G.G. Fooshee.
Pallbearers will be Logan Guy, Graham Schiro, Sean Williamson, Luke Ferachi, Mason Ferachi, and Terry Galloway. Honorary pallbearer will be Bentley Schiro.
There will be a visitation held at Judson Baptist Church on Monday February 17, 2025 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm with a service starting at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Judson Baptist Church cemetery.
