Nina Linda Martin Mincey was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 14, 2025 at the age of 80, surrounded by family and friends in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Linda was born on September 12, 1944 in Independence, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Denham Springs High School and a lifelong member of Hebron Baptist Church. She attended Louisiana State University. Linda had a passion for drawing and painting, her artistic talent will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of experiencing her work. Linda had a profound love for reading, she could always be found with a book. Linda Martin Mincey was married to Albert Carroll “Buddy” Mincey. They were childhood sweethearts for over 50 years. Together, they raised three children and six grandchildren. Linda, also known as “Gigi” by her grandchildren, had the pleasure of meeting her first great-grandchild, Ryleigh. Linda was the epitome of a loving mother and grandmother. To her grandchildren, she was the best Gigi one could hope for. She was always there to offer a listening ear, a warm hug, and unconditional love. She took the utmost pride in caring for her children and grandchildren, and her nurturing spirit touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her infectious laugh and gentle soul made every room brighter, and her home was a sanctuary of warmth and comfort for family and friends. She had a gift for making everyone feel special, and her family will carry forward her lessons in love and family values for generations to come. While we mourn her passing, we are grateful for the incredible memories she leaves behind and take comfort in knowing she is with her Lord and Savior.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Carroll “Buddy” Mincey; parents, Nina Lea Martin and Luther Emile Martin, Sr.; sisters, LeVern Martin Facundus and Francis Martin Gayle; a brother, Luther Martin, Jr.; and an infant daughter, Lajuanna Mincey.
