Sergio Mora Posada

Sergio Mora Posada passed away on February 16, 2025. He was born on November 10, 1947 in Medellin Colombia, South America. He worked off shore and overseas as an operator, followed by construction, maintenance man, and ended his careers in the cafeteria at an elementary school. He loved his family, sports including MMA, boxing, LSU baseball and football. He enjoyed nature, going out to eat and cooking, and talking to anyone he met.
Sergio is survived by his wife of 20 years, Fanny Mora; daughters, Shantell Mora, Maria Booker (Luke), Katrina Alligood; son, Aaron Mora (Jennifer); grandchildren, John Sergio Tobon, Sr., Devon Guidry, Autum St. Angelo, Jerney Harms, Jaqueline Mora, Jaron Mora, Andrew Mora, Aubrey Mora, Easton Mora, Samantha Burger, Bridget Beasley, Seryn Booker, Analia Booker, Nash Elee, and Dillon Prentice; great grandchildren, Isabella Profit, John Sergio Tobon, Jr., Merak Tobon, Braylee Guidry, Asher Stangelo, Terry Lambert, Emma-Grace Lambert, Evelyn Norene, Ada Beasley, and Charlotte (Charlie) Beasley; sisters, Beatriz Mora Posada, Maria Luz Mora Posada, Martha Hadid Mora, Ana Mora Posada, Lucia Mora Posada, and Marta Rocia Mora Posada; brothers, Diego Mora Posada, and Federico Mora Posada; nieces, Lina Mora Gallego and Natalia Vega Mora; nephews, Santiago Florez Mora, Alejandro Mora Velilla, Juan Mora Velilla, Daniel Mora Gallego, Andres Mera Gallego, Nicholas Vega Mora, Andres Restrepo Mora, David Restrepo Mora, and Carlos Mora; and friends, Tracey and Brian Simmons and Tyler Simmons.
Sergio is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Mora; mother, Ana Cecila Mora; brother, Hector Mora; son, Jeffery Elee; nephews, Juan Florez Mora and Jorge Florez Mora.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at First Pentecostal Church in Denham Springs on Friday, February 28, 2025 with visitation starting at 2:00 PM until the Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM.
