Walter Boyd Brown, Sr.

Walter Boyd Brown, Sr. 79 years old, resident of Central passed away on February 16, 2025. He was born on January 9, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Doris Kathleen Jarrell and Ralph Walter Brown.

Walter loved people; he could make anyone laugh with his jokes. He always had a kind hand to give and help anyone in need. He loved the outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing or riding up and down the
rivers as a tug boat captain.

Walter is survived by his children, Doris Brown, Walter Brown, Jr., and Troy Illgen (Laura); grandchildren, Joshau Daigrepont (Lindsey), Kearstin Brown (Kayla Freeman), Emily Breazeale, Sam Houston, and Callie Houston; and 10 great grandchildren.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Ralph Brown; and his brothers, Charlie Brown and Roy Brown.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Jackson Park in Central on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

He will be laid to rest with a private ceremony at Evergreen Memorial Park at a later date.
