Bobby “Bob” Fay Abrams, a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana for the past 65 years, was  born December 31, 1934, in Urania, Louisiana. He went to his heavenly home on March 3,  2025. He was 90 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, George Madison Abrams;  mother, Lottie Mae Higdon Abrams; sister, Annie Lou Abrams Sleeth; brother, Johnny Luther  Abrams; brother, James Paul Abrams; sister, Myra Marie Abrams Decker; grandson, Jeremy  Paul Blouin; grandson, Shane Daniel Abrams; grandson Jason Lee Curtis; grandson, Lance  Michael Blouin. He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Effie Ruth Cassels Abrams;  sister, Goldie Mae Abrams Vaughan; son, James “Jimmy” Mason Curtis (Carolyn May Curtis);  daughter, Gloria Gail Curtis; son, John Daniel Abrams (Vanessa Fugler Abrams); daughter,  Rebecca Marie Abrams Von-Heimburg (Paul Von-Heimburg); daughter, Rachel Susanne  Abrams Langdon (Jason Langdon); son, David Matthew Abrams (Angie David Abrams). He  was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren, 1  great-great grandson.

Bobby Fay Abrams graduated from Columbia High School in Caldwell parish. He went on to serve in the United States Army attaining the rank of Specialists 4th Class (Corporal), working  in the Post Office on the base in Germany. After service he was employed with Borden but  subsequently retired from Deltech Polymers Corporation where he was a plant operator for  approximately 30 years after having worked at Uniroyal for 15 years. He was a long-time active member of Northside Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, was a member of  the maintenance committee, and sang tenor with the choir.

Mr. Bob was a passionate family man, a true patriot, sports enthusiast and avid hunter. He  enjoyed the holidays with family all around. His favorite holiday was 4th of July, and he would  make sure his yard and pool was immaculate for all the family and friends that would come  for barbecue, swimming, homemade ice-cream, watermelon and a fireworks finale (hoping  no firetrucks would be needed). He always made sure the flag was flying high.

He loved watching football, once dreamed of being a coach. He also enjoyed baseball,  basketball, women’s college fast-pitch softball and women’s college basketball.

His home away from home was his hunting camp in Mississippi where he enjoyed spending  time alone with his beloved wife or sitting in his favorite deer stand formerly known as #8 but  then fondly known as “Pappy’s stand”.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 7, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with service at 12:00 p.m.  at Northside Baptist Church in Denham Springs. Burial will follow immediately after at  Evergreen Memorial Park and Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Blaine Blouin, John Isaac Abrams, Benjamin Abrams, Dash  Duncan, Cade Von-Heimburg, J. D. Abrams, Case Abrams, and Cameron Blouin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northside Baptist Church choir fund.
