Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Rogers (Ross), 71, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Maurepas, Louisiana. Born on May 10, 1953, in Tallulah, Louisiana, she lived a life filled with love for her family and a passion for music, adventure, and the simple joys of life.
Liz was a devoted mother to her children, Todd Ross (Samantha) of Walker and Tanya Williams of Walker. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Brett Ross (Cheyenne) of Walker, LeAnne Dardar (Shay) of Walker, Hunter Ross (Lauren) of Zachary, Blake Ross, Hayden Ross, Logan Ross, Joseph Ross, Emma Ross of Walker, Winter Smith (Nathan) of Zachary, Summer Arnold of Texas, and Paul & Eli Rose (Brandy) of Slaughter. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren: Allison Dardar, Kerrigan Dardar, Gracelynn Ross, Stetson Ross, Riley Ross, Khloe Smith, Remington Arnold, and Gunner Williams.
She is also survived by her beloved sisters Anne Shelton (Don) of Maurepas, Nealy Morain (Dennis) of Central, Velma Shelton (Paul) of Tennessee, and Sherry Shelton of Denham Springs. Liz was preceded in death by her loving companion Randy Haney; her parents Alvin Emmett and Pearl Ross; her grandchildren Mercedes and Isaac Williams; her brother Alton “AE” Emmett Ross; her sister Virginia Ann Freeman; and her niece Jackie Addison.
Liz had a deep appreciation for music and loved listening to live bands. She found joy in watching her grandkids sing karaoke and share laughter together. Camping trips brought her peace and happiness. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing sports and taking spontaneous joy rides—always embracing life with energy and enthusiasm.
A wake will be held on March 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. A funeral service will follow on March 21 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs. Viewing will take place from 10:30 AM to noon before the service begins at noon.
Liz was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
