Albert S. Hulett, of Hammond, Louisiana died on Saturday, March 15, 2025. He was born in Hattiesburg, MS and was a 1966 graduate of Hattiesburg High School. He earned a degree in Business Administration from Southern methodist University in Dallas, TX in 1970, and later earned a degree in Architecture from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA in 1986. Al Spent several years as a Business Manager for an architectural firm in Texas, and then spent seventeen years as President of Roseland Park Cemetery and Beverly Memorial Co. In Hattiesburg, MS, businesses owned by the Hulett family. After the business was sold in 1995, he was employed by several architectural firms, including Sasaki Associates in Boston, MA, and eventually retired from Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects in New Orleans, LA in 2012.
Al is survived by his son, David Curruth Hulett, of Las Vegas, NV; daughter and son-in-law, Kennon Beverly Hulett and Casey Krugman of Jersey City, NJ; grandson, Brandon Carruth Hulett, of Las Vegas, NV; several cousins; and his long-time partner, Eric Johnson, of Hammond, LA.
Al is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Cornelius and Beverly Ann Sikes Hulett; grandparents, Dr. James Edward and Anna Pauline Hulett, and Albert D. and Lula Grace Sikes, all of Hattiesburg, MS.

Al was my first cousin. I’ll miss him a lot. I didn’t know he was so sick. It’s come as something of a shock to me. It wasn’t easy to find his obituary. I think most people would expect it to be at the family funeral home in Hattiesburg, MS. I’m praying for his family and those closest to him. Sadly the last time I saw him was at another funeral of my second cousin. I’m truly sad and will miss you Al. Much Love, Cindy
