February 15, 1941 — March 12, 2025
Jesse Gerald Smith, 84 passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. A lifelong resident of Pride, Louisiana, he was a member of the Latter-Day Saints Church in Pride. A graduate of Pride High School, he worked for 33 years at Grady Crawford Contractors as a foreman.
When he was not working, Jesse or “Mannie” as many close friends and family would call him, could be found fixing fences, tending to cattle, cooking something in the kitchen and helping others in the Pride Community, which was his greatest joy. His mischievous laugh and smile will be greatly missed as he could get anyone to laugh with one of his many tall- tale stories or jokes.
He leaves behind his son, Judson Smith and wife Caroline, and two very special grandsons, Jackson and Zachary Smith who he loved so much and a sister, Elaine Glenn and husband Art.
Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, mother Lulla Bell Pullam Smith and father, Jackson David Smith, a sister Norma Lee Johnson and husband Floyd.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Health and Rehabilitation for the loving care that was shown to him.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, with visitation from 9am-11am and services at 11am.
