John David Allen, born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away March 19, 2025 at the age of 82. John worked for the Forest County Board of Supervisors for district 1 in Mississippi for 32 years. He was an active member of the Parkway Heights United Methodist Church in Hattiesburg. John was widely known for his impressive construction projects. From baseball fields, to bridges and community centers, he could build just about anything. He was a big family man and cherished any moment spent with them. In his free time, he loved to fish and watch sports. He never missed an opportunity to cheer on Mississippi State.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Teal; grand-daughter, Ashlyn King (Justin), great-grandchildren, Paislee, Pace, and Kylee King. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Henry.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lew Allen; his parents, Rufus and Christine Allen; brother, James Allen, and sister; Leah Beth Browder.
The family will be having a memorial service at a later date.

David was a friend and colleague for many years. We served are members of Forrest County Elected Board of Supervisors. I was amazed at his talent of taking vacant land and turning it into a thing of beauty.
David served his family and constituents well
