Christina Karch (Montano)
November 8, 1964 – March 31, 2025
Christina Karch, 60, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away after a short illness on March 31, 2025. She was a graduate of Muncie Southside High School, Class of 1983.
Christina was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud Gigi. She loved all animals, including her dogs and her cat. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandkids, Camden and Wyatt. She spent a majority of her adult life as a social worker. Christina was an MS warrior, having struggled with the disease for over 20 years. She found joy in the simple things—reading, listening to music, and spending time in her yard.
She is survived by her loving husband, William “Trey” Strecker of Baton Rouge, LA; her daughter, Andrea Bradford (Amy) of Mobile, AL; and her grandchildren, Camden and Wyatt Bradford of Mobile, AL. She is also survived by her parents, Robert and Mary Rhoades of Parker City, IN; her siblings, Lindsay Rhoades and Chad Rhoades; her mother-in-law, MaryAnn Strecker; and her sister-in-law, Suzanne Strecker Droese (husband’s name).
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Nick Karch, whose memory she carried in her heart every day.
Christina’s warmth, love, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed. A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Planned Parenthood of the Gulf Coast or your local animal rescue.
