Cary Lansing Hoover

Cary Lansing Hoover, Jr., age 68, passed away on April 26, 2025, at his home in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Born on December 20, 1956, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Cary lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep love for the things that brought him joy.
A proud graduate of Baker High School’s Class of 1974 in Baker, Louisiana, Cary remained closely connected to his roots throughout his life. He was a longtime member of First Baptist
Church of Baker, where he found spiritual grounding and community.
Cary shared 34 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Debra Davis Hoover. Their home was a place of warmth and welcome for many over the years. Cary also held a special place in the hearts of numerous nieces and nephews across generations – nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and even great-great-nieces and nephews – who were touched by his easygoing nature and generous spirit.
He was preceded in death by his father Cary L. Hoover, Sr., mother Ethel Bankston Hoover, brother Gary Hoover, and sister-in-law Mickey Hoover.
Cary had a passion for life that was evident in the things he loved most. He found freedom on the open road riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle and excitement in attending NASCAR races. He loved planning vacations and traveling to the beach, the mountains, and anywhere that sounded interesting. These hobbies brought him joy and camaraderie with others who shared his enthusiasm.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 17, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cary and Debbie’s home located at 34965 Perkins Rd, Denham Springs, Louisiana 70706. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose presence brought light to those around him.
May Cary’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire kindness and joy in the lives he touched.
