Grace Elizabeth Tucker Williams
February 21, 1942 – May 1, 2025
Grace Tucker Williams, a devoted wife, mother, and Nana, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on February 21, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Cyrus L. Tucker, Jr. and Grace Garrison Tucker.
Grace was raised in Denham Springs, Louisiana, where she graduated from Denham Springs High School in 1960. She was a proud and active member of First Baptist Church of Denham Springs throughout her life.
Grace was someone you couldn’t help but love upon meeting. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone she encountered feel special, as though they were the only person in the room. Her presence lit up every space she entered, and she cultivated many deep and lasting friendships.
She loved traveling the world with her husband and cherished annual trips with friends to the Northeast in the fall to admire the changing leaves. Grace found great joy in being a stay-at-home mother, raising her children with love and devotion. An avid antiques enthusiast, she had a remarkable eye for discovering forgotten treasures and bringing them back to life. Her home was a testament to her talent, filled with beautiful pieces and rich stories she delighted in sharing with visitors.
Later in life, the arrival of her grandchildren brought her a new and profound joy. She loved teaching them songs, playing with them in the yard, and taking them on shopping outings, creating memories they will carry forever.
Grace will be remembered for her deep love of family and friends, her warmth, and her appreciation for beauty in all its forms.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edmond Williams; her daughters and son-in law, Ashley Greer (Jason) and Carla Tinkler; her grandchildren, Madeleine Greer Thiaville (Chad), Abigail Greer, Caroline Williams, and Nicholas Williams; and her great grandchildren, Collins Thiaville and Beckham Thiaville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus L. Tucker, Jr. and Grace Garrison Tucker; her son, Andrew Tucker Williams; and her son-in-law, Charles Tinkler, and her two sisters, Sherrill T. Barker and Edith T. Meyers.
A memorial service will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Monday May 5, 2025 with visitation from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM and service beginning at 2:00 PM. Please share your condolences at www.sealefuneral.com

Dear family of Grace: just read about the death of my cousin and friend, Grace. Though I’ve moved and haven’t seen Grace much in last few years, I still cherished her and recall the good times we shared. Though I live out of town now and won’t be at the funeral, I’ll be there in spirit.
Condolences and love to you all. Patricia Garrison (legally took our good name back)
