Kenneth “Wayne” Tyler

Kenneth “Wayne” Tyler, born September 16, 1956, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025 at his home in Denham Springs surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness. A native of Lookout Mountain, Georgia and a longtime resident of Denham Springs, Wayne was an accomplished woodworker, an avid gun and ammo enthusiast, and amateur historian. However, he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially since retiring from Solvey USA, Inc. after 31 years of service as a Chemical Plant Operator.
He is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, the former Susie Kendrick of Baton Rouge, LA; son, Wade and wife, Kaci; daughter, Nicole; granddaughters, Hannah and Kari; grandson, Matthew; sister, Teresa Lipari and husband, Paul; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Warren Tyler and Ruth Higdon Tyler.
Pallbearers are Blake Gilmore, Blaine Gilmore, Ronald Gilmore, Faron Long, Ricky Lay, and Chuck Lossett. Honorary Pallbearer is Matthew Tyler.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to all the doctors, nurses and other caregivers at Ochsner Hospital Baton Rouge, Ochsner Hospital New Orleans and Audubon Hospice.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until service at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Bret Gilmore. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
